Privacy Policy

Short version: if you never log in with Discord, nothing about you leaves your device. If you do log in, we keep your save files and a scrambled ID so we can give them back to you. We don't keep your Discord name, email, servers or messages, and we never sell or share anything.

Who we are

SAOUB:FORGE is a free, fan-made, non-commercial revival of SAO Unleash Blading, run by the REFORGE Collective community. You can reach us in the REFORGE Collective Discord server.

The game and this website

The game runs offline. Your saves are stored on your own device.
To check for updates and events, the game downloads files from dl.reforgeproject.online. These requests don't include any account or save data.
This website has no accounts, no ads and no tracking or analytics. Some pages remember your settings (like your calendar pace) in your own browser only.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles the network traffic and may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security, as any website host does.

Cloud saves (only if you log in with Discord)

Cloud saves are optional. When you choose Log in with Discord in the Forge menu:

We ask Discord only for the basic identify permission. We use it once to learn your Discord user ID, then immediately sign out of Discord's side.
We turn that ID into a scrambled ID that can't be turned back into your Discord ID. That's what we store. We don't store your Discord username, avatar, email, servers, friends or messages. Your display name is shown in the game but kept only on your device.
We store your save file (all your save slots, in the same format as a manual export), the last 5 versions of it, and for each version: when it was saved, the size, a checksum, the game version, whether it came from Android or iOS, your device model (like "iPhone15,2"), and a short summary (save names, levels and play time) so you can tell versions apart.
We keep a login session on the server so your device stays signed in, for up to 180 days.

How it's used

Only to sync your saves between your devices and let you restore an older version.
We don't use it for ads or profiling, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone.
Saves are stored privately with Cloudflare R2. They aren't publicly accessible.

Your choices

Log out in the Forge menu to stop syncing on that device.
Delete my cloud saves in the Forge menu permanently deletes your saves, their history and your sessions from our server. Your saves on your device are not affected.
If you can't reach the game, ask a moderator in the REFORGE Collective Discord and we'll delete your cloud data for you.

Children

Cloud saves need a Discord account, so they follow Discord's own minimum age rules.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and mention it in the Discord server.
